The Dynamic Duo of Pizza! While these two may not take themselves seriously, Nate Hall and Shawn Merrow definitely have a serious attitude when it comes the pizza they serve – a fact reflected in the scratch-made mozzarella cheese, dough and sauce used at Rivermont Pizza. Hall began in the food business at age 18 as a cook for Sharper Palate Catering Company in Richmond, while Merrow has been a professional cook for seven years, previously working as sous chef at Vines Restaurant. After two years together, Hall and Merrow agree it’s the “creative aspect of making something special,” they both enjoy most.
