Charlie Merchant started watching Julia Child with his grandmother when he was little and as a teenager enjoyed watching “Yan Can Cook.” By age 14 he started cooking for himself, making a lot of crazy mistakes at first, but living, learning, and eventually excelling. “I love learning about new styles and ingredients from other countries, but Southern food will always be in my heart.“ Merchant’s passion is a perfect fit for bull branch’s globally inspired menu of street food and simple dishes from all over the planet. Right now he’s loving his handmade fresh corn tortilla tacos – that is, of course, until he tries something different.
